Voted as the top children's museum in the country by the editors and visitors of the MSN.com City Guide (2005) and serving more children than any children's museum in the country on a per square-foot basis with 750,000 annual visitors, the Children's Museum of Houston offers a great family destination for Texas families. The Museum offers 14 galleries of hands-on exhibits and innovative outreach programming for kids ages birth to 12 years.

There are 14 different exhibit areas within the museum, several of which are special temporary exhibits offering a new experience on every visit. Toddlers under the age of three will likely want to check out the Tot Spot first (conveniently located right near the entrance), while the older kids might enjoy some of the outdoor water features and gardens along with the train caboose. Located within the Houston Museum District, the Children's Museum is near the Houston Zoo, the Museum of Natural Science, Museum of Health and other popular tourist destinations. More information on the Children's Museum of Houston is available online at the museum's web site.
